BLUES SMOOTHIE
Kick your post-vacation blues with some blues of the good kind: our tropical favorite, the blues smoothie. You get banana, pineapple, kiwi, apple, orange, baobab, and thai lime leaf in each packet… oh, and did we mention blue spirulina? That’s why it’s blue, after all.
It’s the perfect drink for a beach day, and equally useful as a mood boost when your reality is decidedly less sunny and more landlocked. For this recipe, we’ve kicked up the tropical taste a notch further thanks to the addition of frozen banana, frozen mango, and frozen pineapple. Plant milk adds creamy goodness to the equation. Really any plant milk will do, but for our money, coconut milk works best here and adds another layer of tropical flavor.
Then, here’s our favorite part: adding toppings. Fresh fruit like berry or pineapple is a great option, but granola is our go-to. Along with shaved coconut, it adds a delicious crunch.
This recipe takes just 2 minutes to prepare, and 5 minutes of total time.
Ingredients
1 packet of kencko blues
1 frozen banana
1 frozen mango
1 handful frozen pineapple
½ cup / 120 ml plant milk (we prefer coconut)
Your choice of toppings
Instructions
Pour all ingredients (except the toppings!) into your blender.
Blend all the ingredients together until thick and creamy.
Spoon mixture into your favorite bowl. (Any bowl will do, but you’ll enjoy it most out of your favorite.)
Decorate with your choice of toppings! We love granola, coconut, and pineapple.
