REDS SMOOTHIE
We love our reds smoothie because it’s good whatever the season. Strawberry, raspberry and banana bring the summer vibes, while the apple, dates and ginger give it a festive feel during the winter months. Containing 2.5 of your recommended five daily cups of fruit and vegetables, it’s also a delicious way to give your body some love during the holidays.
One of our favorite ways to enjoy reds during the festive season is this holiday mocktail. Personally, we think pomegranates are one of the best winter fruits. Seriously, can you name a better looking fruit? With their deep magenta color and seeds that look like jewels, pomegranates deserve to be the star of the show. And it doesn’t hurt that pomegranate juice is antioxidant rich.
Sparkling water and lime brings the cocktail together, and then we like to tumble in a healthy handful of pomegranate seeds. Add a fancy cocktail stick, and you’ve got a festive gift to yourself.
This recipe takes just 1 minute to prepare and 3 minutes of total time.
Ingredients
1 packet of kencko reds
½ cup water
½ cup pomegranate juice
Squeeze of lime
Pomegranate seeds
Sparkling water
Ice
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, add your kencko reds, water, pomegranate juice, and a squeeze of lime. Shake well.
Strain and pour evenly over ice between glasses.
Add pomegranate seeds, and top up with sparkling water. (We love adding a fancy cocktail stick to finish things off – it is the holidays after all!)
