KENCKO SMOOTHIES
Sour candy is the best candy. Hands down, no arguments. We’d say “fight us” but we’re smoothie connoisseurs not boxers, so we definitely won’t fight you, but we are team sour candy all the way. And while we get through plenty of packs of Sour Patch Kids, we’re always looking for healthier ways we can get our sour-candy fix.
These sour patch grapes definitely hit the spot. They’re juicy and refreshing, with a lovely sour tang. And like all good candy, you can mix up the flavors. When we want an extra layer of tang, we add sunny guavas. If we want a more classic berry flavor, we’ll go with reds. Strawberry and raspberry are always a great candy flavor, and the ginger in it adds a lovely little kick.
You can eat these just as they are, but we loooove them frozen.
This recipe takes just 5 minutes to prepare before they're ready to go into the freezer to set.
Ingredients
1 box of grapes
The juice of half a lemon or lime
2 kencko packets of your choice
Instructions
Wash your grapes and then squeeze over the lime or lemon juice and toss it through the grapes until they’re all covered.
Now, divide the grapes into two bowls and pour one kencko packet into each bowl. Toss again until each grape has a light covering of kencko.
If you want to freeze them, spread the grapes on a tray lined with parchment paper and place them in the freezer for at least 4 - 5 hours.
Enjoy straight from the freezer, or leave them out for a couple of minutes before eating if you’d like a softer texture.
