Unfortunately, for most of us, not every day can be a beach day. And even if you do live by the beach, there’s that thing called work that might still get in the way… But thanks to our blues smoothie we feel, well, decidedly less blue about it! It’s a tropical-tasting beach-day-in-a-bottle. You get banana, pineapple, apple, lucuma orange, kiwi, baobab, thai lime leaf and blue spirulina in every packet. That’s a tropical mouthful.

This mocktail really lets the tropical flavors of blues shine and all you need is four ingredients: fresh or frozen pineapple, 1 packet of kencko blues, coconut water or milk and ice. It’s a breeze to make, but it doesn’t skimp on nutrients. You get loads of vitamin C and fiber from all the whole fruits. And blues contains a really cool ingredient you might not know much about: lucuma. The fruit comes from the valley’s of the Andes. It’s packed with fiber and polyphenols and has a delicious, sweet almost-caramel-like taste.

This cocktail is best enjoyed over ice and if we’re serving it in the evening, we like to rim the glass with some chili-lime salt.

This recipe takes just 1 minute to prepare and 3 minutes of total time.

Ingredients

Frozen or fresh pineapple

Ice

1 packet blues

8 oz. of coconut water or coconut milk

Optional: chili-lime salt for the rim

Instructions

It’s optional, but if you want to rim your glass with the chili-lime salt, do that first.

Now blend a handful of frozen pineapple, the ice, blues and 8 oz. coconut water or milk together.

Pour into your glass, and enjoy!
